MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CHINDERAH

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT TUMBULGUM AND MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT NORTH MURWILLUMBAH OVERNIGHT MONDAY

Moderate to heavy rainfall since Sunday night has led to river level rises with moderate flooding possible from overnight Monday at Tumbulgum. Minor flooding is occurring at Chinderah and possible at North Murwillumbah overnight Monday. Further moderate rainfall is forecast overnight Monday before clearing during Tuesday.

Safety advice

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
