Initial Minor Flood Warning for the South Esk River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT LEWIS HILL FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

Rainfall is forecast from early Wednesday morning, which may lead to river level rises in parts of the South Esk River catchment. Localised heavy rainfall is possible particularly in the upper parts of the catchment. With this forecast rainfall, minor flooding is possible from Wednesday afternoon along the St Pauls River at Lewis Hill.

A Severe Weather Warning for Heavy Rainfall is current for the North East and East Coast.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
