Every pack includes a QGIS project alongside the imagery. Unzip the pack, open the .qgz in QGIS (free and open source), and the radar frames are already loaded as time-enabled layers positioned over the map: scrub through the event with the temporal controller, overlay your own layers such as catchments, assets or survey data, and export whatever views you need.
You can download a QGIS sample (3 MB) from a Melbourne rainfall event in April 2024 to try it before creating a pack of your own. The sample pack above was created before the QGIS project was bundled in, so the two samples together show everything a new pack contains.

The video and GIF show both radar-local and UTC time on every frame. Filenames and timestamps on the individual frames are in UTC.

Many radars have coverage back to 2005, though availability varies by site and there are some gaps from outages. If you need a sequence from earlier than what's shown in the player, contact us and we'll check what we can recover.
