Cancellation of Severe Thunderstorm Warning
For people in Lower Western Forecast District.
Issued at 4:53 pm Wednesday, 1 July 2026.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring.
Weather Situation: A strong cold front is moving through western NSW during the afternoon and evening. This system is producing non-severe thunderstorms that are fast-moving towards the east.
This warning is now cancelled.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
