Flood Warning for Molong Creek

MOLONG EXPECTED TO HAVE PEAKED NEAR MODERATE FLOOD LEVEL AROUND MIDNIGHT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY, NOW EXPECTED TO BE FALLING
Moderate to locally heavy rainfall was observed during Tuesday over parts of the Macquarie River catchment, including Molong Creek, where rapid creek level rises were observed. At Molong, the creek level is expected to have peaked just below the moderate flood level around midnight Tuesday into Wednesday. The creek level at Molong is now expected to be falling but still elevated. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Further downstream, river level rises are occurring along the Bell River. This warning will be updated during Wednesday morning to include forecasts along the Bell River if required.
