Flood Warning for the Nerang and Coomera Rivers

AREAS OF MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING ARE OCCURRING ACROSS THE PIMPAMA AND COOMERA RIVERS, NERANG RIVER, MUDGEERABA CREEK, AND TALLEBUDGERA AND CURRUMBIN CREEKS

Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the catchment since Sunday night which has caused elevated river levels and areas of minor to moderate flooding.

Rainfall is forecast to continue through Monday night into Tuesday. Further river and creek level rises and flooding are expected overnight.

  • River levels are elevated and minor to moderate flooding is occurring along the Pimpama and Coomera Rivers. — Pimpama and Coomera Rivers
  • River levels are elevated and minor flooding is occurring along the Nerang River. — Nerang River
  • River levels are elevated and minor to moderate flooding is occurring along Mudgeeraba Creek. — Mudgeeraba Creek
  • River levels are elevated and minor to moderate flooding is occurring along Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks. — Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks

Safety advice

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
