Initial Flood Warning for the Styx River

From 11:45am Sun 12 Jul to 2:45pm Mon 13 Jul

FLOODING POSSIBLE AROUND BRUCES BRIDGE FROM EARLY MONDAY MORNING

Rainfall across the Styx River catchment since Saturday evening has cause river level rises. Further moderate rainfall is forecast for the next few days, which may lead to further rises. Minor flooding may develop along the Styx River around Bruces Bridge from early Monday morning.

Safety advice

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
