DAMAGING WINDS are expected to ease below warning thresholds throughout later this evening, though winds are expected to remain fresh and gusty into Friday morning.
Locations which may be affected include Geeveston and Huonville.
Severe weather is no longer occurring in the North East, East Coast, North West Coast, Central North, Central Plateau and Midlands districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED.
Damaging wind gusts since 12:00 pm (Thursday):
157 km/h at Maatsuyker Island at 1:32 pm.
122 km/h at Scotts Peak Dam at 4:11 pm.
117 km/h at kunanyi/Mt Wellington at 4:14 pm.
111 km/h at Hartz Mountain at 3:52 pm.
