Cancellation of Severe Weather Warning
For people in Central, East Gippsland, Mallee, South West, Northern Country, North Central, North East, West and South Gippsland and Wimmera Forecast Districts.
Issued at 8:25 pm Friday, 19 June 2026.
Winds have eased about the northeast ranges this evening.
This warning is now cancelled.
98 km/h wind gust recorded at Mount Hotham at 3:02 pm.
92 km/h wind gust recorded at Mount Hotham at 4:11 pm.
Sustained 65 km/h winds recorded at Mount Hotham in the 10 minutes surrounding 3:57 pm.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
