Cancellation of Coastal Hazard Warning
For people in East Gippsland and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts.
Issued at 3:04 am Friday, 5 June 2026.
The threat of abnormally high tides across Gippsland coasts has passed.
Weather Situation: A deep low pressure system has moved further east into the Tasman Sea. With strong to gale-force west to southwesterly winds easing through the day and the overnight high tide having passed, elevated sea levels across eastern coastlines are no longer a threat.
This warning is now cancelled.

The Victoria State Emergency Service and Life Saving Victoria advise that people should be aware of the following:
* Stay informed - monitor weather warnings and forecasts at the Bureau of Meteorology website, and warnings through VicEmergency app, website and hotline (1800 226 226).
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
