MINOR TO MODERATE FLOOD WARNINGS CURRENT FOR PARTS OF NORTH EAST VICTORIA AND MURRAY RIVER

Moderate to locally heavy rainfall has been observed across the Flood Watch area since Friday evening. This has resulted in creek and river level rises and areas of isolated minor flooding across parts of North and North East Victoria.

Rainfall and flood risk has eased across the flood watch area and no further flooding is expected. River levels are yet to peak in some downstream locations and may remain elevated over the next few days.

The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be issued as required.

Safety advice

* Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
* Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
* Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
* Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
