Minor Flood Warning for the Ovens and King Rivers

MINOR FLOODING IS ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING ALONG THE KING RIVER AT DOCKER ROAD BRIDGE

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ALONG THE OVENS RIVER WANGARATTA FROM OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY

Rainfall since Friday evening has resulted in river level rises in the Ovens and King River catchments. Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring at Docker Road Bridge and may develop around Wangaratta from overnight Sunday into Monday.

No further significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

  • Flooding is no longer expected along the Ovens River from Bright to Rocky Point.: Ovens River Bright to Rocky Point, Ovens River at Rocky Point
  • Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring along the King River.: King River, King River at Docker Rd Bridge
  • Minor flooding is possible along the Ovens River around Wangaratta.: Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point, Ovens River at Wangaratta

Safety advice

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
