MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT DOCKER RD BRIDGE FRIDAY MORNING

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE DOWNSTREAM OF LAKE BUFFALO EARLY FRIDAY MORNING

Moderate rainfall across the Ovens and King River catchments since Monday has caused significant river level rises.

Moderate flooding is occurring along the King River at Docker Road Bridge, with major flooding possible Friday morning. Minor flooding is occurring along the King River downstream of Lake William Hovell and along the Buffalo River downstream of Lake Buffalo. Moderate flooding may develop along the Buffalo River early Friday morning. Moderate flooding is occurring at Cheshunt.

Along the Ovens River, minor flooding is occurring at Bright, Eurobin and Rocky Point, and may develop at Wangaratta early Friday morning.

Minor flooding is occurring along the Buckland River at Harris Lane and along Fifteen Mile Creek at Greta South.

A Flood Watch is current for parts of Gippsland, North East and Central Victoria.

  • Minor flooding is occurring downstream of Lake William Hovell. Moderate flooding is occurring at Docker Rd Bridge, with major flooding possible. Moderate flooding is occurring at Cheshunt. — King River, King River at Lake William Hovell (Downstream), King River at Docker Rd Bridge
  • Minor flooding is occurring at Greta South. — Fifteen Mile Creek, Fifteen Mile Creek at Greta South
  • Minor flooding is possible at Wangaratta. — Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point, Ovens River at Wangaratta

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
