Moderate Flood Warning for the Goulburn River

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT SEYMOUR EARLY FRIDAY MORNING

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT TAGGERTY

Moderate rainfall since Monday has caused river and creek level rises in the Goulburn River catchment. Rainfall is forecast to continue through to Friday, which is likely to result in further rises and areas of flooding across the Goulburn River catchment.

A Flood Watch is current for Parts of Gippsland, North East and Central Victoria.

  • Minor flooding is continuing along the Acheron River at Taggerty. — Acheron River, Acheron River at Taggerty
  • Minor flooding is occurring at Yea. — Yea River
  • River levels are elevated along the King Parrot Creek. — King Parrot Creek
  • Minor flooding is occurring along the Sunday Creek at Tallarook. — Sunday Creek
  • Moderate flooding is possible along the Goulburn River at Seymour. — Goulburn River Lake Eildon to Seymour, Goulburn River at Seymour
  • Moderate flooding is occurring along the Hughes Creek at Tarcombe Road. — Hughes Creek

Safety advice

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
