Moderate Flood Warning for the Loddon River and Final Flood Warning for the Bet Bet Creek

APPIN SOUTH LIKELY TO PEAK NEAR THE MODERATE FLOOD LEVEL LATE THURSDAY

The main flood peak along the Loddon River is now approaching Appin South where the river level is likely to peak near the moderate flood level late Thursday. Further upstream, a second but lower flood peak has passed Laanecoorie Reservoir, where the river levels peaked at the moderate flood level Wednesday afternoon.

  • Minor flooding is no longer occurring along Bet Bet Creek at Bet Bet.: Loddon River upstream of Laanecoorie
  • Minor flooding is occurring along the Loddon River Laanecoorie to Loddon Weir.: Loddon River Laanecoorie to Loddon Weir, Loddon River at Laanecoorie Reservior (TW)
  • Minor flooding is occurring along the Loddon River Loddon Weir to Kerang.: Loddon River Loddon Weir to Kerang, Loddon River at Appin South

Safety advice

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
