FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED IN THE GREENOUGH, MURCHISON AND WOORAMEL CATCHMENTS

A rain band moved across southern and central Western Australia during Thursday and Friday.

In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Friday, moderate rainfall totals of 20-40 mm were recorded over the flood watch area, where catchment conditions are near average to wetter than average.The rainfall has resulted in river level rises remaining below minor flood levels.

Rainfall is forecast to ease and clear from the southern Gascoyne and south-west Goldfields during Friday afternoon and evening. No further significant river level rises are expected.

Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchment(s): Greenough, Murchison and Wooramel
