Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for HEAVY RAINFALL
For people in parts of Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Metropolitan and Murraylands districts.
Issued at 11:56 am Tuesday, 2 June 2026.
Localised heavy rainfall occurring about Adelaide and the hills.
Weather Situation: Heavy showers are leading to localised heavy falls being observed and forecast for the next hour or so about Adelaide and the hills to the east.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
20.8 mm was recorded at Crafers West in the 30 minutes to 11:47 am.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
The next warning is due to be issued by 3:00 pm.
If severe thunderstorms develop in the Adelaide Region, a more Detailed Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued to people in this area. Other warnings may be current.
