Cancellation of Severe Weather Warning
For people in West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Eastern Eyre Peninsula and North West Pastoral districts.
Issued at 4:59 pm Wednesday, 17 June 2026.
Easing rainfall for parts of the Eyre Peninsula and nearby inland areas.
Weather Situation: A cold front, connected to a low that lies in the Great Australian Bight, is moving across South Australia. Showers and rain continue with this system into the evening, however heavy rainfall is no longer expected.
Severe weather is no longer occurring in South Australia. The immediate threat of severe weather has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary. Other warnings may be current. Please check https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts/.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines;
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
