MODERATE FLOODING EASING AT WANGARATTA

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT DOCKER ROAD BRIDGE

Moderate rainfall during last week caused significant river level rises and areas of minor to moderate flooding across the Ovens and King River catchments.

River levels along the King River at Docker Road Bridge peaked near the major flood level Friday evening and are currently slowly falling with minor flooding.

Along the Ovens River at Wangaratta, a moderate peak was observed on Saturday afternoon, and river levels are currently slowly falling with moderate flooding.

Minor flooding has eased along the Buffalo River downstream of Lake Buffalo.

Safety advice

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
