MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING IN PARTS OF NORTH EAST AND CENTRAL RIVER CATCHMENTS
MINOR FLOODING LIKELY IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM THURSDAY
Moderate to heavy rainfall recorded across the northeast and central Victoria since Monday has caused river level rises and minor to moderate flooding in the Seven and Castle Creeks, Kiewa, Ovens and King, and Goulburn River catchments.
Further widespread rainfall is forecast across parts of Gippsland, northeast and central Victoria during Thursday and into Friday. This rainfall may result in minor flooding across the Flood Watch area from Thursday. Flooding is likely to continue in the Kiewa River, Ovens and King Rivers, Goulburn River, and Seven and Castle Creeks catchments, where Flood Warnings remain current.
The situation is being closely monitored, and Flood Warnings will be issued as required.
